A small town with a lot of history

Coatesville is a small town in Clay Township, Hendricks County. It was founded in the late 1860s and incorporated in 1909. On Good Friday in 1948, a tornado destroyed most of the town, so many homes in Coatesville were rebuilt after that storm. Downtown, the site of the town’s first filling station has been restored as a replica 1950s Standard Oil station.

Country water systems

Around Coatesville, many homes and farms depend on private wells. We help with:

  • Well pumps and pressure tanks — no water, weak pressure, or a pump that won’t shut off. Our pump installers are Indiana DNR licensed.
  • Iron, sulfur and hardness — filtration and softeners matched to your water.
  • Water heaters — gas, electric and tankless, including flushing and replacement when sediment builds up.
  • Sump pumps and battery backups for basements in wet seasons.

Help when you need it

“Jeff was able to come out on the same day—especially on a Saturday—to troubleshoot our water heater and get everything back up and running. Having hot water out is always a major inconvenience, so getting fast, reliable service with clear, upfront pricing makes all the difference. He has done work for most of oir family and was honest and upfront with reasonable pricing. Highly recommend.”

“I can’t say enough great things about Jeff at Essential plumbing! Not only did he show up quickly but he offered to do the work at a fair price unlike the other bids we received. He also went above & beyond by fixing a few extra things we didn’t hire him to do! 10/10 would highly recommend!”

Questions

Coatesville plumbing FAQs

Do you service wells in the Coatesville area?

Yes. We repair and replace well pumps, pressure tanks, pressure switches and constant-pressure systems. Our pump installers are Indiana DNR licensed.

Our water heater fills with sediment. Is that from our well?

Untreated well water often carries sediment and hardness that settle in the tank. Regular flushing helps, and the right filter or softener can prevent much of it.
