Maintenance & descaling

Hardness minerals build up as scale inside a tankless heat exchanger, which cuts efficiency and can trigger errors. Our maintenance visit includes:

• Flushing and descaling the heat exchanger through the service valves.
• Cleaning the inlet water filter screen.
• Checking for error history, leaks and proper operation.
• Looking at venting and condensate drainage on condensing models.
• Installing isolation (service) valves if your unit doesn’t have them, so future maintenance is easier.

Repair

We diagnose and repair tankless water heaters from all major brands — including Navien, Rinnai, Bradford White, Rheem and A.O. Smith — whether or not we installed them. If your unit is showing an error code, write it down before you call; it helps us arrive prepared.

Protect it from hard water

A water softener or scale-reduction treatment in front of a tankless unit can greatly reduce how quickly scale builds up. Ask us about options when we service your heater.
