Plumber in Jamestown, Indiana

Jamestown sits right on the Boone–Hendricks county line along US 136. Essential Plumbing helps Jamestown homeowners with wells, water treatment, water heaters, sump pumps and repairs in older homes — 24/7.

An old town on the county line

Jamestown was founded in 1830 and platted in 1832, and for a short time it was the first county seat of Boone County. Most of the town is in Jackson Township, Boone County, with a small part in Eel River Township, Hendricks County. The railroad still runs through the middle of town, and many of the homes near it are older houses with plumbing that has been patched and updated over the decades.

What we fix in Jamestown

  • Older-home plumbing — worn shut-off valves, corroded supply lines, and old fixtures that leak or run.
  • Private wells on rural properties around town — pumps, pressure tanks and pressure switches, installed by Indiana DNR licensed pump installers.
  • Hard water, iron and odor — softeners and filtration to protect fixtures and water heaters.
  • Water heaters — gas or electric, tank or tankless.
  • Sump pumps and battery backups for basements during spring rains.

Both sides of the county line

We serve Jamestown on both sides of the county line, along with Lizton, Ladoga and the rural roads in between. If you’re not sure whether we cover your road, just call.

“Jeff was able to come out on the same day—especially on a Saturday—to troubleshoot our water heater and get everything back up and running. Having hot water out is always a major inconvenience, so getting fast, reliable service with clear, upfront pricing makes all the difference. He has done work for most of oir family and was honest and upfront with reasonable pricing. Highly recommend.”

“I can’t say enough great things about Jeff at Essential plumbing! Not only did he show up quickly but he offered to do the work at a fair price unlike the other bids we received. He also went above & beyond by fixing a few extra things we didn’t hire him to do! 10/10 would highly recommend!”
